Our campers are original left hand drive 1970’s air-cooled campers, made in Germany. Whilst we could have used new water-cooled Brazilian models which are more modern in design they do not offer the old-world craftsmanship or personality that these type 2’s have.
They are powered by various powerplants from 2000cc fuel injected to 1600cc. The speeds between them does not vary much and cruise at around 100 kmh 60mph, once you’ve settled into the laidback style of the Algarve and left all your stress behind, this is fast enough.
Driving into the sunset with the ocean beside you, listening to your favourite track on the stereo, has got to be one of the most uplifting experience you can have. For this reason all our vans are fitted with stereos and we have fitted i-pod jacks to our dashboards, no need to keep tuning in that i-trip transmitter.
To cook with there is a 2 hob gas cooker and a sink with electric water delivery. there is also an electric hook up for connecting up at campsites. They all have fridges that are used whilst driving or at campsites whilst on electric hook up.
Each van is fitted with a rock and roll bed which pulls out with ease. Some of the vans sleep 2 and some can sleep 4 using the space in the pop up.
3 point seat belts are fitted in the rear and we can provide good quality child seats for 20 euros.
